ICR 18650 Lithium Battery Concept
ICR 18650 lithium battery refers to cylindrical battery with diameter of 18mm and height of 65mm. “18650” denotes the size specification, while “ICR” refers to type of lithium-ion battery. In the battery label, “ICR” indicates the battery’s chemical composition and related performance characteristics. ICR 18650 lithium batteries feature high energy density, long lifespan, and low self-discharge rates. They are mainly used in consumer electronics, electric vehicles, and power tools.
The capacity of ICR 18650 lithium batteries typically ranges from 1800mAh to 3500mAh. They offer relatively high operating voltage (usually 3.7V) and large energy storage capability. These batteries have excellent charge and discharge characteristics, support fast charging and discharging, and can meet the high power demands of various devices.

Application Fields of ICR 18650 Lithium Battery
Due to their high performance and stable characteristics, ICR 18650 lithium batteries are widely used in various electronic devices. Relationship Between ICR 18650 Lithium Battery and Power Batteries

Differences Between ICR and INR Batteries
INR refers to lithium-ion rechargeable batteries that typically use cathode materials such as lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganese oxide, lithium iron phosphate, or nickel-cobalt-manganese. These batteries have high energy density and are suitable for devices that require long runtimes and high energy output, such as laptops, cameras, and drones. INR batteries also offer better safety and stability, support fast charging, and can handle higher currents.

ICR refers to high-rate rechargeable batteries that are suitable for devices requiring high current discharge, such as power tools and remote-controlled models. The cathode materials in ICR batteries are usually lithium cobalt oxide or nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide, while the anode is often graphite or other carbon-based materials. Compared to INR batteries, ICR batteries have a higher discharge rate, meaning they can deliver larger currents in short time. These batteries are mainly used in power tools, vacuum cleaners, robot vacuums, lawn mowers, drones, high-speed electric motorcycles, model aircraft, hybrid new energy vehicles, industrial and commercial energy storage, frequency regulation, and UPS backup power supplies.
